Diamanti a Tavola is a festival held to celebrate Sibillini products, the area's prized white and black truffles in particular, during the first two weekends in November.

Along with truffles, new wine ‘vino nuovo’, pink apples, mushrooms, chestnuts, walnuts, honey, local cured meats, organic farming products and local crafts are also offered.

Themed menus are created by local restaurants and stands are set up in the town's piazza for all to enjoy. There are many festivities to get involved with such as truffle hunting, sample tasting sessions and cooking demonstrations.

Festa de San Martino, 11th November in Grottammare

The Festa de San Martino is a vibrant and lively celebration that takes place every year on the 11th of November in the charming coastal town of Grottammare, that pays tribute to one of the earliest Christian saints while also welcoming the Christmas period.

This annual event brings together locals and visitors alike to honor San Martino, the patron saint of the town. Colorful processions, delicious food stalls, and lively music fill the cobblestone streets, creating an atmosphere of joy and excitement.

From the crackling bonfires that light up the night sky to the sweet aroma of roasted chestnuts, the Festa de San Martino truly ignites the senses. It is a time when the community comes together, sharing laughter, stories, and traditional dances. Whether you are a believer or simply looking to immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of this picturesque Italian town, attending the Festa de San Martino is an experience not to be missed.

The legend that inspired this festival says that San Martino selflessly cut his cloak in half to give to a freezing man dressed in rags. Later that night, Jesus appeared in his dream wearing the same cloak and commended his kindness and generosity.

In Le Marche, Festa de San Martino is celebrated with baked goods, roasted chestnuts and wine. A large fair is hosted in Grottammare every year with music, acrobatics and around 400 stands selling festive crafts, food and drink.
